Mounting steps of track sockets

Track sockets are popular in recent years, whose primary advantage is that it is available for adding more sockets at the user's will whenever necessary, and the location of sockets is changeable, not only solving the problem of lacking in sockets for common use, but also having a good look and making the space tidier.

However, many people may still have no idea of how to mount a track socket. Here we take CHINT Track Socket as an example to explain the mounting steps of such sockets.

Mounting of track sockets:

Mounting with no punching on the wall

Firstly, make sure the wall is clean, tidy, dry and free from dirt. Relatively speaking, the ceramic tile or marble wall is preferred;

Secondly, use a screwdriver to open the track socket's wiring terminal, and wire it properly;

Thirdly, apply nail-free glue to the track socket's back;

Finally, fix the track socket's position on the wall, press it for 3-5min and remove the auxiliary stickers. The socket can be used normally after 48h.

Mounting of track sockets:

Mounting with screws.

Firstly, use a pencil to mark the position where holes will be punched to fix the track socket. It is usually near the wall socket or inside the cabinet which leans against the wall;

Secondly, punch holes at the marked position. Such holes shall not be made too large, and shall match the size of screws;

Thirdly, open the track socket's wiring terminal, and wire it properly. This operation usually needs to dismantle the regular wall socket;

Fourthly, place expansion tubes into the punched screw holes;

Finally, align the screws with the track socket's screw hole position, then use a screwdriver to fasten the screws. The socket can be used normally after being fixed firmly.

The above are two mounting methods of track sockets - mounting with no punching on the wall, and mounting with screws. Both methods seem quite simple, but since some steps involve circuits, for the electrical safety, it's better to let a professional electrician to handle this!
