Installation commissioning and cautions for smart locks
Keywords:

We have previously shared some information about the installation of smart locks, but after installation, there are still some matters about the installation commissioning and cautions for smart locks. Therefore, we'd like to share such information and hope it will help you during your installation and utilization of smart locks.

Installation commissioning of smart locks:

1. Before power-on: the panel edge is parallel to the door edge; the front/back handle rotates easily and smoothly; the main spring bolt pops out when the front handle is lifted upward, and the free spring bolt has no action when the handle is pressed downward; the master spring bolt pops out when the back handle is lifted upward, and the free spring bolt retracts when the handle is pressed downward; the key can be inserted and rotated smoothly to open the door; the safety spring bolt can pop out and retract when the safety knob is rotated.

2. After power-on: The keyboard lights up when the panel is touched; no prying-resistant alarm is triggered when the front handle is pulled hard; both the latch bolt and master spring bolt retract when the handle is pressed downward after the verification is passed.

3. Acceptance for door closing after the above commissioning is passed.

After the door is closed, the latch bolt, master spring bolt and safety spring bolt can all pop up and retract smoothly.

The bolt with heaven and earth hooks acts in line with the master spring bolt.

Cautions for smart locks:

1. After a new lock is installed, it's necessary to restore it to factory settings to empty the information (such as fingerprints) entered during installation commissioning.

2. After the restoration to factory settings, please register at least one administrator - lack of administrators will disable the registration of general users and temporary users.

3. When the lock is contrasting, registering or deleting any information, it's forbidden to manually dismantle the battery. Before dismantling the battery, please make sure that the lock is not in service.

4. The battery is not available for long-term use. It's recommended to replace it once at least every half year, otherwise its leakage may damage the smart lock.

5. Please use a battery of a regular brand from a proper channel to replace the old one. Do not mix the use of new and old batteries.

6. When it prompts "Battery Low" for the 1st time, the battery life can sustain door opening for another 100 times approximately (depending on the battery capacity); in this case, the battery shall be replaced timely to avoid inconvenience caused by a dead battery (when it prompts "Battery Low" for 2 consecutive times, the door cannot be opened any longer).

7. In the case of failure to pass the password and IC card verification for 3 consecutive times or the fingerprint verification for 5 consecutive times within 5 minutes, the device will beep and send an alarm, and be disabled for 180 seconds.

8. Do not store or use flammable articles nearby the smart lock, such as gas, coating or gasoline, in order to prevent the explosion or fire accidents.

9. Keep a spare mechanical key properly somewhere outside your home, such as in your private car or office, in case you need it.
